ACCIDENT.
JANE MUGAMBI 17TH AUGUST 2010.
SEVEN people were injured in a road accident along Kutus-Kagio road.
The accident involved a Nissan matatu and a personal car had a head on collision at Kiwe Bridge.
Area OCPD Patrick Oduma said that the driver of the saloon car who was from Kagio heading to Kutus was overtaking a lorry on a corner and on reaching at the river their was no space for him causing a head on with the Nissan matatu forcing it to land in the river
Mr. Oduma said that the 2pm accident left several others with minor injuries and bruises adding that the driver of the saloon car miscalculated the distance saying that in between the river, there are two corners that drivers have ignored very much.
HE added that the lorry driver was forced to apply emergency brakes thus hitting the saloon car at the back.
He said that those injured were treated and discharged at Kerugoya district hospital.
