MUNUNGA GETS A NEW DIRECTOR.
JANE MUGAMBI 11TH JAN 2011.

John Muriuki became the new Director of Mununga Tea factory in the just concluded elections.
The elections which were highly contested saw him gun 12,358 votes against 9,861 against his brother Moses Wamai who has been a long serving director and a chairman for 13 years.
His mission is to work together with the farmers who he said have been oppressed for a very long time.
Muriuki also added that he will be working closely with the famers so as they can manage their money so as to make their land productive.
“Tea production has been very down and so being elected as the new director I am going to work closely with the farmers so that they can manage their funds so as to make their lands productive” added Muriuki.
He also said that the hydropower project which has seen the farmers loose 7/- instead of the agreed 3/- will be resolved to make sure that the cost is cut to 3/- per farmer.
He said that the 8,000 farmers will also be able to get their bonuses on time.
