FORMER MUNGIKI LEADER-CUM PREACHER CRUSADES FOR CHANGE ON YOUTHS.

Former Mungiki leader Ndura wa Ruingi is reaching out to over 6million youths.
HE said that his target is to reach out to former Mungiki members who
he said wants to change their lives.
Mr. Waruingi said that the reason for the concern is because many
youths have engaged themselves in criminal activities.
HE said the initiative Okoa Vijana campaign programme has started in
the whole country where youths in illicit groups and those that are
taking illicit brews are being transformed.
He said that the programme will help them change their lives that have
been rendered useless after taking the brews.
“The programme is meant for youths who seem to have lost hope in life” he added.
He said he has been holding crusades all over the country and the turn
out seems to be very impressive adding that the 600 youths in the
programme will be more before the yea ends.
He said that at the Chinese roads construction company that is
constructing Nairobi-Thika highway, he has been able to get 500 youths
who are in the programme working with the company.
He said the programme has been an eye opener to many youths who have
completed their studies but have not been employed saying that some
looking for crafts, white collars and others have managed to get
places.
HE said the programme takes one month to understand the best way to
have a positive life far from drugs, illicit brews.
In Embu he said that 650 youths will be graduating and that 31,000
lives have been changed by the programme.
He called upon other legislators from Central Kenya to join him in the
fight against illicit brewing which he said has made youths not been
able to produce to save the future generation.
He said as other provinces are moving forward, Central has ragged
behind saying that he will mobilize a force to investigate and source
out all the brews from their dens.
He however said that if the government is not going to stop the
brewing and supplying of the brews, he will mobilize the youths in
getting rid of it.
Mr.Waruingi went on to say that with the help of the government, they
will have to stop the brews that are being dumped in Mt.Kenya where a
whole generation is spoilt.
“We are not telling people not to drink, but take what is certified by
Kebs” he said.
He said that he will mobilize 3000 people from Mt.Kenya against the
leadership of some leaders from the region who are beneficiaries of
illicit brews, manufacture and supply brewing materials
He said that he will be raising funds to put up a rehabilitation
center in his 50 acres land in Kajiado county that will be a youths
training center where unnoticed talents will be natured and
furnishing.
HE said that he is going to approach churches, corporate, NGO’s to
support the whole initiative for a better Kenya.
HE said despite being a preacher, he will be a crusader for change on
youth people in the country.
Salvation and Okoa Vijana teams will be holding crusades all over the
country teaching the youths on the dangers of drugs, illicit brews.
He has held crusades in Embu town, Kibirigwi in Kirinyaga district,
Kayole where a massive number has shown up.
