REGISTRAR OF PARTIES CALLED TO ACT ON KIRINYAGA CENTRAL.

Punish Kirinyaga Central candidates who are going against the
political parties Act, Harun Mwau said.
Speaking In Gichugu during the burial ceremony of the parties
organizing secretary Harry Mugo, he urged the Registrar of political
parties to punish the candidates who have gone against the political
act.
He said that three candidates have been spotted going round campaign
after the seat was nullified by the high court.
Mr. Mwau added that a penalty should be added according to the
national parties act to those that have gone against it.
HE said that a chairperson was seen campaigning in favor of a
candidate contravening the acts with her knowledge saying that such
people should be barred from vying for the seat.
The Democratic party leader said that the new constitution is very
clear on those that go against the laws saying that the registrar of
political parties should speak out on the Kirinyaga Central matter.
Since the seat was nullified, two candidates have been holding rallies
even before the speaker has declared the seat vacant contravening the
political parties act.
He also said that the government should name the
businessman,politicians who have been bared by the American
government.
He said that according to the new constitution, the culprits were
supposed to be notified by the AG within 24 hours.
He demanded to have the names so that those that have been named by
the American government can take the necessary right action per the
law.
Mr.Mwau added that those that have defected from Democratic Party to
go back saying it is a party that is promising.
He said Kibaki has left a legacy which needs to be left to a person
who has leadership qualities for its growth.
