ACCIDENT.

A six year old boy died after he was knocked down by a speeding car along Kimunye-Rukenya road near Mukumu primary school in Kirinyaga East.
According to Deputy OCPD Patrick Oduma, driver of a saloon car reported to have hit a kid who was crossing the road and died on the spot.
Elias Bundi a standard one pupil was crossing the road at the said scene of accident from the opposite side when the speeding Toyota saloon car hit him as he was going to school from home.
Mr. Oduma added that four passengers in the vehicle were unhurt during the accident.
He said that his body was taken to Kerugoya Morgue for postmortem and the vehicle was towed to Kianyaga police station for inspection.
Since the construction of the road, several accidents have happened and residents have been requesting the constructor to put bumps.
Vehicles have been speeding along the black spot that is close to two schools where several people have lost lives and parents are fearing for their children’s safety while going to school.
Along the road there are sign posts which the drivers have ignored leading to accidents.
