Kerugoya boys secondary school in Kirinyaga district have been closed indefinitely after student set another dormitory a blaze and destroying property worth thousands of shillings.

The Arson attack comes barely a week after two other dormitories were razed down by disgruntled Students who the school management said was out to sabotage the institution.

According to BOG chairman Gachiani Murage today fire started at around noon in one of the dormitory when some students set fire mattresses and beddings causing the fire to spread allover.

He said that the fire caused a major destruction in the school and revealed that the school administration has decided to close the school indefinitely.

The school principal Mwangi Kuria said that nine student have so far been arrested in connection with last time arson attack and their being held at Kerugoya police station.

He said that preliminaries investigations reveals that some students are behind the attack and warned that more will be arrested.

He said that BOG has decided to send the student home to pave way for investigations and to avert more destruction since the tension was building in the school.

The students were given five minutes to move out of school under police guard.
