A 35 year old man has been arrested for defiling his 14 year old
daughter in Mwea East district.
Jotham Kamau was arrested after the girl accused him sexually
molestation for a very longtime.
According to the police boss Apollo Onyonyi, the man got home while
drunk on Wednesday and went straight to her daughter’s bedroom.
He said that he sexually molested him before silencing her if she
dared tell anybody.
The police boss added that the mother became suspicious when the he
found the man seated in the sitting room very early which is unusual
to him.
Onyonyi went on to say that the daughter called the mother in her
bedroom where she narrated to her the ordeal revealing that the father
had been sexually molesting her for very longtime and had warned her
that if she ever told anybody she would kill her.
The police boss added that after they reported the matter to the
police who managed to arrest the suspected rapist before he
disappeared.
He said that on interrogation the man said that since he went home
drunk, he did not know that he was in the wrong room.
He said that on getting into the bed, he thought that he was sleeping
with his wife only to find out in the morning that it was his
daughter.
Onyonyi said that the girl was admitted at Kimbimbi district hospital
where she is getting treatment.
The police boss has urged women to be on the look out for their
daughters who now have turned to be a dangerous species at home.
He also said that fathers are supposed to protect but in the country
fathers have turned out to be their own enemies citing that defilement
cases are on the rise.
“Instead of a father protecting the daughter he is the one who is
sexually molesting the same daughter. Mothers to be on the look out
for the girls” added the police boss.
