DEFILEMENT.

DEFILEMENT.
JANE MUGAMBI 23RD FEB 2012.
A 29 year old primary school teacher has been arrested for defiling
his pupil in Kirinyaga East district.
According to the area OCPD Hamisi Mambeya, Newton Mwangi is suspected
to have defiled a standard seven pupil at Kiangwenyi upper hill
academy in Gichugu.
HE said that the two met when the pupil was coming out for night
prayers and told him to wait for him in her class since he had some
books that he wanted to give her for revision.
The police boss added that on entering the class, the teacher closed
the door and started undressing the girl.
He said that they were caught by the watchman who suspected some
mischief when he saw lights in the class as the lights are normally
put off when the pupils leave their class after preps to sleep.
Mambeya added that the teacher was handed over to the police by the
school administration while the pupil was rushed to Kerugoya district
hospital where she was treated but her parents moved her to Nairobi
women’s hospital for counseling and further treatment where she was
treated and discharged.
The police boss added that the teacher will be taken to court once
investigations have been completed.
HE has however condemned the attacks on girls saying that they are
rising on daily basis in the district telling the mothers to be on the
look out for their girl child and be very close.
